‘What is the use of a book,’ thought Alice, ‘without pictures and conversation?’
- Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll
Your picture books are finally here.
Remember the safe haven of childhood picture books, where darkness and comfort coexisted? Brenner reimagines that for adults. Her work, a fusion of rich visuals and potent writing, gently explores complex psychological concepts in an accessible format. Bypassing the clinical jargon of self-help texts, her storytelling speak directly to your intuition through metaphor and art, creating a unique space for psychological growth. Finally, a refreshing path to emotional well-being for those who feel deeply.
Meet Brenner!
Brenner Lowe is an author and illustrator, living on the Tablelands of Far North Queensland, Australia, with her husband and daughter, a cattle dog named after a famous fairy, and a thriving tropical vegetable patch tended by six plump hens.
As an introspective thinker and a quiet observer, Brenner recognises the power and beauty of vulnerability, and the courage of those who possess it. With an almost intuitive understanding of the human heart, Brenner translates these profound insights into stories that are both captivating and hauntingly moving.
The Fruit of Dragons is Brenner's debut picture book for adults. She invites readers to explore the intricate landscapes of their fears and curiosities, and to ignite the power of their dreams.
This is your quiet space.
